who we are
I'm Josh Braaten, co-founder and chairman of America's Internet. I'm just your average guy from Minnesota who has depended on the Internet to learn, work, and play since building my first Geocities website as a teenager in the early nineties.
My wife (Emily) and I have been noticing for some time now that Americans have been getting increasingly wronged on the Internet. Net neutrality was repealed in 2017. The NSA has made a joke of online privacy. Many of us don't even have a free market available to us when it comes to purchasing our Internet connections. The list goes on and on.
The more we thought about it, the more it became clear to us that we had to do something about it. In early 2018, we partnered up with our friend Aaron and recruited a handful of our favorite marketing, technology, and design colleagues to create America's Internet, a political action committee dedicated to protecting Internet liberties and the online rights of Americans.
American consumers deserve a better Internet. We aim to fight for it.
